Drama classes consist of drama games, situation drama, role play & script work. We try to teach and encourage the use of dialects.

Through our drama classes we try to build up confidence and to bring out the natural ability of each pupil. However, we never push a pupil to do something they do not feel confident or happy with. Sometimes it only needs a bit of gentle persuasion & support.

Each year a selection of our pupils are chosen to take part in the Leverhulme Drama Festival. Past winners include:

• 2007 winner junior category
• 2006 winner best actress
• 2006 winner senior category

This year over 60 pupils took part in one act plays for the festival.

We were delighted that Jack Malone was awarded 2008 Best Actor. And that our Heswall group's performance of Happy Families by John Godber has been put through to the North West Finals on the Isle of Man.
