WINTER SHOWJanuary 2009

The next musical performance will be in January at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port and The New Floral Pavilion. We intend to perform extracts from, Hairspray, Avenue Q, Legally Blonde, Mama Mia, Jersey Boys, High School Musical, Grease and Enchanted to name but a few.

Extra Rehearsals will take place at the individual centres this time and not at Starlight Studios.

LEVERHULME DRAMA FESTIVALApril 2009

We intend to perform again in the drama festival this year with each Starlight centre entering in at least one category. This event is a great chance for us to work on Straight drama and perform at the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight. All pupils can audition for the Festival.

NORTH WEST DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPSMay 2009

For the second time we will be taking part in The North West Dance Championships. This gives our dancers a chance to show us what they are made of. We will be entering pupils from all 4 venues in the musical theatre category. The competition takes place in May and will be performed at The Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port. All pupils can audition for the competition.

SUMMER SHOWJuly 2009

Our summer show which will be performed in July at The New Floral Pavilion and Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, will take Starlight nicely to the Summer Holidays.

STARLIGHT CHOIR

We are intending this year to set up a Starlight Choir. Performing great songs and harmonies from various sources, with modern young feel about it. We intend to perform songs from Sister Act and various other musicals. We are hoping to take the choir forward to competitions. Pupils will be auditioned and it will be open to all ages. Watch out last choir standing because hear comes Starlight!!!

LONDON TRIPOctober 2009

After the very well behaved and successful trip to London in May 2008, we are booking another trip to London in October half term. Coach trip, ticket for a West End Musical and time shopping will be approx. £55.00 per person. Great value, as the tickets are top price. The trip is open to pupils 10 years with parents to accompany them and 14 years without parents.

UNIFORM

There are a lot of different items of uniform available, now in the new hot pink colour as well as the original. Ask Jacqui for the new price list and to see samples. But Parents, please remember that a t-shirt and jazz shoes are the only required uniform all other items are a bonus.
