Starlight Youth Theatre

About Starlight Youth Theatre

History

Starlight Youth Theatre was founded in 1995 by husband and wife team Andy & Jacqui Miles; it is the longest running youth theatre on the Wirral.

Starlight is based in Heswall and boasts its own purpose built dance and drama studios. Due to Starlight’s continuing success and ever growing number of members, new groups have been set up in Ellesmere Port.

Starlight has established a reputation for high quality productions throughout the North West. Many of Starlight’s past pupils have gone on to pursue successful careers in the performing arts.

About Starlight Your Theatre

Our pupils

We are delighted that some of our pupils have already gained places at performing arts colleges and universities all over the country – LIPA, ArtsEd & Mountview. Some pupils have been cast in West End musicals such as Willy Russell’s critically acclaimed Blood Brothers.

Starlight pupils have appeared in TV shows – like BBC’s Prank Patrol, the long running children’s drama serial Grange Hill and Channel 4’s teen soap Hollyoaks. Several of Starlight’s pupils are performing in Disneyland Paris.

Our objectives

Our objective is to provide an enriching experience…
We provide teaching in performing arts – giving our pupils solid training in drama, dance, song and other stage skills. We aim to stimulate their creativity, giving them not only passion and enthusiasm – but also providing pupils with the confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline to carry with them for life.
